From vines aged over 50y on average grown in Meursault and Remigny (nearby) it's hand picked, given a \"long and hard press\" acording to Nicolas, and aged in 225lt (15% new) barrels for a year followed by a \"calming\" rest in tank for 4 months. This gives the modest yielding fruit an extra degree of richness. There are the lemon and grapefruit nuances of aligote with some mealy \/ doughy yeast lees character and a nice hint of pear and stonefruit. It finishes with impressive length, has a full 13% alc.,and I can't believe how cheap it is!
