This is made from chardonnay (20%) / pinot meunier (5%) / pinot noir (75%). 2009 has made good vintage champagnes as the stormy wet July was followed by a sunny dryer August and the resulting wines are rich and ripe but with good acidity and backbone. This is a fleshy and tightly packed vintage wine with biscuity, honey and lemon pith undertones, but the overriding impression is generosity and balance
