There is 1 Ha of chardonnay and 1.5 Ha of pinot noir planted in 1988. The chardonnay here is one of Australia's most age-worthy, and both wines are amongst Yarra's finest. Dave's chardonnays start life  tightly wound with a serious inner core of power and a steely, classy chassis, but they full of fruit and complexity. The more you think about them, the more you look, the longer you keep them, the more reward you get. Don't overlook the reds; the pinots offer real class and depth, beyond their fame; the Cabernet is a classic too. These are amazing bargains at these special prices. Give this guru a break.
