A monumental wine and one of the top 5 2008’s that I have tasted! It shows the best of what an illustrious vintage, epic grand cru villages including Äy, a great champagne house AND 13yrs on lees can offer. This is a powerhouse of a champagne, deeply flavoured with complex yeasty, brioche, citrus, dried orange peel, nougat, biscuity nuances and incredible balance, length and freshness with obvious adolescent age and the huge complexity that long lees-ageing gives.
