Rouget Echexeaux is never cheap, but in my experience of drinking many bottles (especially when it was cheaper, the 2005 for example) it always punches way above its weight, and it’s always highly exotic, deep, profoundly complex, and classy; and it ages very well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAs when it was made by Emmanuel’s uncle Henri Jayer, it’s based on old vines planted on the Les Suchots side of Echezeaux, and the yields are exceptionally low giving that Jayeresque depth and concentration.
