4 x Guigal 2019 Cotes du Rhone

Saturated ruby. Ripe black raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestions of cracked pepper, allspice and pungent flowers. Supple, appealingly sweet red and blue fruit preserve flavours gain energy with air, and a bright mineral element adds back-end lift. Supple tannins add shape to a persistent, floral-accented finish, which leaves cherry and spice notes behind.
"Strongly marked by bold fruit on the nose, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone features scents of blackberries, raspberries and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, it's atypically rich and structured—a fine, balanced summation of the vintage." 89-91pts - Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Dark ruby. Spice-accented cherry and black raspberry aromas are complemented by suggestions of pungent flowers and cola. Fleshy and energetic in the mouth, offering nicely concentrated red and blue fruit flavours that tighten up steadily with air. Shows very good energy and lift on a long, gently tannic finish that leaves behind repeating red fruit and spice notes." 90pts - Josh Raynolds,
"This 2019 is a dark, ripe and plummy expression of this great and reliable red. It's actually over 15% alc this vintage and it's a very ripe, opulent and spicy, deep red.
I'm always amazed at the quality this estate gets in the Côtes du Rhône,.." Jeb Dunnuck.

4 x Charvin 2020 Cotes du Rhone

"A bold and expressive Cotes-du-Rhone with excellent wild blackberry fruit plus notes of meat and licorice. A big and well-structured wine that gets a real kick at the finish from the crunchy freshness. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold." 92pts - Stuart Piggott,

4 x Mont-Redon 2021 Cotes du Rhone

Dark and "bright" in colour, this 2021 has a solid core of fruit and also nuances of black pepper, sweet spices and some floral complexities. No oak, pristine fruit and lovely density are the hallmarks. There is a freshness and vitality that belie the 14% alcohol, but then again, that is not high for a Rhone grenache. The palate is caressing, coolish, full of fruit and the tannins are quite suave for a Cotes du Rhone. This is a very impressive effort.
