I tasted this new release a few weeks ago and my colleagues and I were absolutely blown-away by its seductive aromas and flavours, its complex filigree of intricate nuances and its supreme depth and powerful richness. This latest release from Chateau Gilette is the best I can ever remember tasting at a "young" age.
Julie Medeville was quietly smiling and confidently nodding as she saw the look of surprise and joy on my face. The incredibly low yields of this estate, and the 22 years of enamel tank-ageing have created something very wonderful! All great wine-lovers should go out of their way and taste this.
