An incredible aligote which has been perfectly cellared - this drinks more like Premier or Grand Cru Burgundy/Chablis at a fraction of the price! This wine comes entirely from a single vineyard of 50 to 70-year-old aligote vines. If this was Chardonnay it would be at least twice the price, if not more! Notes of waxy pear, toasted nuts and citrus oil, with a medium to full-bodied, concentrated and lively palate that concludes with chalky grip.
Previously released under the Domaine Boisson-Vadot label, Bernard Boisson's two children - son Pierre and daughter Anne - now vinify the domaine's holdings separately, though still share the same cellar in Meursault. Vine age is impressive, with many plots (including the aligote!) over 60 years old, and no herbicides or fertilisers are used. Wines are fermented wild in barrel, then left in no more than 30% oak for 19-22 months.
