"This amazing bourgogne level wine tastes like a villages wine, it's classy, deeply flavoured and silky suave. The 15% new oak and the "don't rush the wine" approach means it's aged for 18 months in barrels. "The Bourgogne from Amiot-Servelle is made from 1.30 hectares of vines at the base of the slope in Chambolle. The surprisingly deeply-coloured wine boasts lovely bright cherry fruit aromas with a lightly floral edge. The texture is fresh, and there is good tannic grip. The grapes were wholly destemmed and fermented primarily in old oak casks to produce this lovely approachable red for everyday consumption." 92 points - Charles Curtis MW, Decanter.
