The Amiots have 3 plots totalling 1.3ha, adjacent to lea Amoureuses and below Fuesselottes, one Grand Cru contender and another great 1er Cru. the poor limestone rock inflected soil is only .5 metre thick so the wine is not only dense, fruity and intricately perfumed, but it's minerally too. 18 months ageing with 30% new barrels has added to the lustre and greatness.
