Picpoul grapes have been growing in Pinet (east of Montpellier on the Mediterranean coast) for longer than anyone knows. It’s like Riesling on steroids (more texture), dry and fresh – no oak. The Domaine Reine Juliette is a family-owned estate, situated near the Basin de Thau, a massive oyster-farming tidal lagoon about 18km long.
