PRE-ARRIVAL 2016 CHATEAU CISSAC LARGE FORMAT
ALL SIZES (MAGNUM TO MELCHOIR)
The Cissac estate borders St. Estephe to the north and Pauillac to the south. It's a stone's throw from Mouton. It's a reliable great bargain to drink and cellar. We have been importing and selling this lovely cabernet / merlot blend from the Bordeaux dress-circle for over 15 years ! Cheers, Randall
Slower ageing, greater longevity - we're all well aware of the tension and freshness that large format bottlings offer, not to mention the spectacle. This late release from the Chateau, 10 years on, is a rare offering and in most cases available in single units only. The vintage 2016, is widely recognised as a classic vintage, sometimes compared to the revered 2010 for it's balance, fullness and freshness.
'One thing is certain – 2016 is a stunning vintage.' Matthew Jukes
DE LA BECHE
De la Bêche Macedon Ranges Aligoté 2025 and Pinot Noir 2024 wines have arrived, and we reckon all wine lovers should try them!
These are born of a family vineyard project of well-respected viticulturalist Tim Brown who started his career at Virgin Hills in 1990 and has gone on to consult to many famed producers like Bindi.
De La Bêche is a .5Ha site planted at a density of 15,000 vines per ha. and it’s at Taradale halfway between Castlemaine and Kyneton at 440 metres elevation. These new wines are truly inspirational and as an aside the labels are stunning too. De La Bêche, a historic figure during the Victorian goldrush, a geologist and a paleontological artist, gave Tim the inspiration for his label.
