Reviews for the 2022 Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon are uniformly stellar, with critics across Australia awarding scores in the high 90s, (98, 97+, 96+) What’s striking to me is the consistency of the language: power, length, balance, class, on repeat. Too numerous to quote in full, we’ve gathered a few highlights below, but it must be said, this vintage is a resounding success and deserves a place in every cellar.
2008 Alfred Gratien Cuvée Paradis Brut Rosé
RRP: $295 | Pre-Arrival Offer: $239
RRP: $295 | Pre-Arrival Offer: $239
This is a thoroughbred Champagne in its origins and in its expression.
Champagne Alfred Gratien has always reminded me a little of Krug, it started on a particular visit to Krug many years ago. Catherine Seydoux, one of the Krug family, in response to a question about what other champagnes she liked, said that Gratien was similar to Krug in some ways, not the least of which is the total barrel-fermentation in the 1000 old 228lt barrels, no MLF and long ageing in bottle.
63% Chardonnay and 37% Pinot Noir from premiers and grands crus,... spent 13 years on lees. This is a "classic" and it's cheap for this class of wine! Randall.
