Julian Haart is one of the most compelling figures in modern German wine: a 13th-generation Mosel grower whose tiny estate, founded in 2010, has already achieved cult status worldwide. After training with some of Germany’s masters including not just Keller, but also Heymann-Löwenstein and Egon Müller, Julian and his wife Nadine turned their focus to minute parcels of old vines in the grand cru vineyards of Ohligsberg and Goldtröpfchen. Here he produces rieslings of extraordinary concentration, precision and power.
