    2024 Silent Way Pinot Noir
    Offer: $31 | $29 in 6-Packs

Matt Harrop's own label made from a mature vineyard at Kilmore that he buys fruit from each year. It's just outside the dotted-line border for Macedon GI otherwise it would be $20 dearer! This is quite a rich and firm style of pinot, and it's great value too.

This is the twelfth vintage of Silent Way pinot from the Quarry Ridge vineyard just outside the dotted line for the Macedon region and near Kilmore. As Jamessuckling.com points out, "The only thing that separates this and other pinots of the region twice the price (or more!) is a layer of spicy new oak, which it doesn't need anyway. With rich, intense red fruits/dark cherries, precise tannin, and a forest-floor complexity - pinot purity is on show here."

    New Release

2025 Giant Steps Circle of Fifths

Dispatching from end of this month

Last year. Giant Steps introduced a new release blending fruit from five estate single vineyard sites. The Circle of Fifths Chardonnay and Pinot blends are composed from estate-grown parcels across Applejack, Sexton, Tarraford, Wombat Creek and Primavera.

These vineyards are well-known for the calibre of fruit, and as such these blends deliver more than expected from the "Estate" bottling. You can expect more depth, detail and drive, as they've been made with precision and intent — all at a more accessible price point. Critic scores are strong across the board, with arguably a slight edge favouring the more 'dialled' 2025 release in comparison to the 2024 debut.

Offer: $54 NB: Not released until 1st June.

"A blend of all the single-vineyard wines. 40% whole bunches. A medium, bright crimson red. A beautifully fragrant wine with its aromas of perfectly ripened strawberry, black raspberry, rose, lavender and cinnamon stick. Unfurls on the medium-bodied, textured and mouth-filling palate. The tannins are succulent and you barely notice the whole bunches. A step up on last year's Circle of Fifths and a wine that will still be looking good a decade from now."

2025 Giant Steps Circle of Fifths Chardonnay
Offer: $54 NB: Not released until 1st June.

"A blend of equal portions of all the Giant Steps single-vineyard wines. With its aromas of white nectarine, lemon verbena, a little cashew and attractive marine scents, this is immediately appealing. On the palate it's concentrated with grapefruit pith and lemony acidity on the long finish. A class act to drink now and over the next four to six years." 96 Points - Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

2021 Pavillon de Chavannes Côte de Brouilly
    'Cuvée de Ambassades'

    $52 | Offer: $28

"Brilliant violet. Expansive, spice-and mineral-accented red fruit and spicecake scents show fine delineation and pick up a suave floral note with air. Juicy, sharply focused and alluringly sweet, offering vibrant raspberry, boysenberry and five-spice powder flavors that deepen slowly through the midpalate. Shows superb energy and finishes seamless and impressively long, with polished and reverberating mineral and floral notes." 93 Points - Josh Raynold, Vinous
