A north-to-south exhibition of impressive Italian reds from Piedmont, Tuscany and Sicily!

     2019 Brovia Nebbiolo d'Alba
"Magnificent Nebbiolo from the elevated, sandy soils of Valmaggione in Roero, north of Barolo. The wine showcases a lighter and more delicate side of Nebbiolo aromatics, with sweet red berries, vanilla spice, and just a hint of sweet earthy / tertiary leather framed by firm yet very approachable tannins. Delicious, complex and very approachable!' Cheers Randall.

2021 Domenico Clerico Langhe Nebbiolo 'Capisme-E'
    Nebbiolo
"Very young and lively on the nose showing notes of cherries, raspberries, redcurrants, flowering linden, magnolias and gardenias. Medium bodied, a savoury structure of pleasing gustatory equilibrium and a drinkable, polished finish, very likeable for it's harmony and the quality of material. Drink now" 90 points - Raffaele Vecchione, WinesCritic.com

2019 Candialle Chianti Classico 'La Misse di Candialle'
"...Packed with red/purplish fruit, spice, rose petal and blood orange. Translucent and super-expressive, the 2019 is another winner in this range from Candialle. Here, too, the purity of the flavors is magnificent." 93 points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

     2018 Monsanto Chianti Classico 'Annata'
"Cherry, dried herbs and some meaty char, liquorice, and a bit of perfume too. It’s medium-bodied, but quite dense, with compact tannin, a distinct ‘mineral’ feel about it, dry but with good flavour, and a firm finish of solid length" 92 points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
2021 Feudo Montoni Nero D'Avola 'Lagnusa'
"The 2021...splashes across the palate with a mineral tinged blend of wild berries and exotic spice. A zesty core of acidity adds a reverberation of tension. The 2021 leaves a liquid floral concentration and subtle tannins to linger." 90 points - Eric Guido, Vinous

hese Montoni wines are amazingly interesting, great value and complex in their Central (Inland) Sicilian generosity. I visited a few years back and was mightily impressed. Randall.

2014 Calabretta Terre Siciliane IGT Nerello Mascalese 'Vigne Vecchie'
"The dark and dusty 2014 Nerello Mascalese Vigna Vecchie smolders up with a blend of medicinal blackberries, cherries, balsam herbs and licorice. This flows across the palate like pure silk, yet with building tension. Tart wild berry fruits saturate, and a nervous acidity puckers the cheeks. The 2014 tapers off staining, long and structured, as a coating of fine tannin resonates, and violet inner florals fade." 93 points! - Eric Guido, Vinous

First Class Tour of Piedmont 6-Pack
    RRP: $815 | 6-Pack: $535

A selection of classic Barolo & Barbaresco under $90 a bottle!

    2018 Brovia Barolo
"The Brovia 2018 Barolo is a classic wine with a smooth and silky mouthfeel that is brightened by cassis, dried cherry, tar, licorice and campfire ash. The firm tannins give ample support and contribute to the wine’s considerable length." 93 points - Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate

    2019 Domenico Clerico Barolo
"Located within the Monforte d'Alba, lies this low volume production of sought after Barolo crus. Owner Domenico Clerico and wine maker Oscar Arrivabene use the famous vineyards of Bussia, Ginestra Pajana and Mosconi amoung others to make rich, powerful and clean, pure wines with a great sophistication." 91 points - Decanter

    2018 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco
"The 2018 Barbaresco is an attractive, open-knit wine to drink now and over the next 10-15 years, maybe more. In 2018 the Produttori did not bottle their Riservas. Instead, all of the best lots of those grapes went into the straight Barbaresco bottling, another in a long string of successes from this historic house. Dark cherry, cedar, tobacco and spice fill out the layers." 92 points - Antonio Galloni

    2018 Azelia Barolo
"Deep, spicy red-fruit character on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied and firm, so give it a couple of years to open up. There’s a lot under the surface. Try from 2024." 92 points - James Suckling

    2019 Brezza Barolo
"The 2019 Barolo is a gorgeous entry-level offering from Brezza. In fact, it's one of the best editions of this wine I can remember tasting. Bright, translucent and full of character, the straight Barolo is all charm. Crushed red berry fruit, orange peel, sage, mint and sweet spice all lend notable complexity throughout. Vineyard sites are San Lorenzo, Fossati, Ravera (Novello) and Bricco San Pietro. Fruit is harvested and vinified separately, then the lots are blended before malolactic fermentation." 92 points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

2013 Rocche Costamagna Barolo 'Rocche dell'Annunziata'
"Earthy aromas of truffle, pressed rose and new leather shape the nose. The structured palate offers licorice, dried black cherry and tobacco alongside fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity." 92 points - Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast

    2019 Bullseye White Burgundy 6-Pack
    RRP: $915 | 6-Pack: $649

"Burgundy hits the bullseye with the 2019 vintage" - James Suckling

2019 Louis Jadot Premier Cru Meursault Charmes
"A very Meursault nose combines notes of grilled nuts, pear, apple and acacia blossom trimmed in ripe citrus along with subtle phenolic hints. The rich medium-bodied flavors possess very good mid-palate density while delivering fine length on the moderately firm bitter lemon-inflected finale that flashes a touch of youthful austerity. This already displays good complexity and a few years of keeping should only add to that." 92 points, Outstanding! - Allen Meadows, Burghound
This is a very rich, deep, full-on powerful and gorgeous style of Meursault. It has seductive ripe fruits, great balance and succulence, AND nice acid backbone.

2019 Louis Jadot Premier Cru Beaune Greves Le Clos Blanc
From one of the great sites in Beaune 1er Cru territory!
"The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Le Clos Blanc (Domaine Gagey) is performing very well in bottle, wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, hazelnuts, clear honey, buttered toast and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's gourmand but precise, with bright acids and a long, saline finish." 93 points - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

2019 Henri Prudhon Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Sur Gamay
"Light yellow with golden highlights. Layered nose of ripe lemon over a mineral backdrop. Seductively full mouthfeel and fat offsetting exuberance. A full, extremely aromatic Saint-Aubin, in a vintage displaying a predominant sensation of freshness." 90 points - Gilbert & Gaillard
This is a fairly tight, in a St. Aubin way, like a high-class, barrel fermented, plus-size Chabliesque wine!

2019 Domaine Bouchard Premier Cru Beaune du Chateau
"A discreet application of wood sets off aromas of white orchard fruit compote, spice and a hint of ripe citrus. The exceptionally rich medium-bodied flavors possess a suave texture that carries over to the delicious and generously proportioned finale." 89 points - Allen Meadows, Burghound

2019 Thomas-Collardot Bourgogne Blanc 'Les Petits Poiriers'
A citrusy nose offers up nuances of warm dough, pineapple lemongrass / ginger tea and plenty citrus. The caressing, ripe, deliciously mineral and seductively textured flavours have great drive through the palate on to a cleansing, tight and dry finish.  Randall

    2019 Dominique Laurent Bourgogne Blanc
A powerful and elegant Bourgogne Blanc - Meyer lemon, apricots, hints of exotic fruits, and lifted by minerals and a touch of hazelnut, all draped in famous Laurent oak. Not to be missed with 2019 producing as-good whites as reds. Decent Bourgogne Blancs are getting harder to find, let alone of this quality and price! Randall
