"This is one of the most serious and darkly intense Dominique Laurent wines I have tried - beneath a layer of reductive elements there is a brooding and darkly plush wine that, with ample time in the decanter now or a decade minimum in the cellar, will blossom into a stunning rendition of all I love in Gevrey-Chambertin. I'm thinking about waves black fruits, pine-needles and rocky granitic minerality, forest floor nuances lurking and waiting for time to bring them out, and a wealth of spice and cured meat/smoky aromas wreathed around the back-palate of this wine. This is a beautiful and wild dark-horse of a wine. One for the Grevrey aficionados." - Randall
