Olivier Leflaive doesn't quite have the same "wow" reputation as Leflaive (yet!); but the domaine has taken back some more of the vines that used to go to Leflaive and is now farming them itself; and the increasing quality is also due to winemaking improvements and the relentless pursuit of quality. These wines are now well-worth chasing!

Both of these Burgundy domaines we are featuring here remind me of the old addage that it's better to dine at a "hungry" 2 star trying for a third, than a long-time 3 star.
Desvignes is a classic that many of you know, if you don't you should try some. :-).
