Cellar-Release Chablis - William Fevre & Guillaume Vrignaud

Filter
These are two stunning examples of ageworthy Chablis cellared to perfection and ready to drink (or hold - these wines are still impressively youthful!). While young Chablis is all racy acid, mineral and marine notes and a slight greenish tinge, developed Chablis becomes honeyed, nutty and delightfully biscuity. 2014 is a legendary vintage - one of the greatest in living memory for Burgundy and especially Chablis - so it is incredibly special to have such a wine available at all, let alone at this price. 2015 also produced a brilliant vintage for Vrignaud - the Cotes de Fontenay is his top premier cru wine made from a small slightly cooler subsection of the ripe and opulent Fourchaume, which borders the Grand Cru of Chablis.
