Daniel Bouland is undeniably one of the greatest producers in Morgon, if not in all of Beaujolais, well-attested by the heaping of praise from top Burgundy critics like Will Kelley and Jasper Morris (see below!). Indeed, if Bouland was based in a flashy Cote d'Or village, I have no doubt his wines would fetch ten times the price. Blessed we are then that he is situated in "humble" Beaujolais, where parting with only a pineapple and change can buy you wines of immense character, intensity, and longevity from vines nearly 100 years old. Wines of this sort of value are rarer than hens' teeth - quantities are extremely limited as always so don't miss out!
