The ambassadors of origin and terroir! This wine comes from Schweigen's (pron. Schwhen) finest vineyards (so all German sites wheras the Kalk above is from German and Alsace sites) and embodies their unique soil structure and microclimate – mineral, pure, and precise. It is a harbinger of our single-vineyard wines and a true insider tip.
Hand-harvested. Gentle processing. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in oak barrels. Bright fruit aromas of lemon and lime. This shows a little more intensity and textural complexity than the "Kalk". It has notes of nectarines, pears, lemons pith, verbena and white flowers. It has a chalky minerality and tension, aromatic brightness. fine extract (a little crushing of fruit), fruit sweetness and lively acidity. Yes, it looks absolutely classic, juicy, lively and charming!
