NEW FROM BEECHWORTH
2024 Fighting Gully Road Chardonnay
Offer: $49
Offer: $49
"Twelve months in 300L French Tronçais barrels followed by three months on lees in tank before bottling... sensational, energised acidity while keeping a pretty tight flavour profile. Spring blossom aromatics mingle with tangy citrus and white peach, grilled nuts and almond nougat with a peach custard-like texture. Clean as a whistle and bright; it moves in a linear line of brisk acidity, going long and dispensing some tart grapefruit pithiness on the finish. It's early days for this little beauty.."

2024 Savaterre Chardonnay
Offer: $120
Winemaker Keppel Smith says it will last 30 years!
"Here is the art of winemaker laid bare, in all of its beauty as well as mystery. It's a slow reveal, all the better to take in a wine both plush in fruit and fine in structure, citrusy fresh and oak defined, savoury influenced and varietally pure. Complex, tangy fresh aromas arrive Beechworth-bright before leading into a tightly packed, concentrated palate of lemon citrus, grapefruit, stone fruits and toasted almonds creamily textured with honeysuckle aromatics. A suitable ending with saline cut and grip on the long finish." 97 Pts. - Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion

2022 Pierro VR Chardonnay | Vintage Reserve
NB: Not Made Every Year - Restocked!
$194 | Offer: $174
NB: Not Made Every Year - Restocked!
"The Pierro VR Chardonnay is the last premium Chardonnay of the region to be released each year. It's not released every year, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad about that. I respect the decision to only highlight suitable/excellent years, but I do wish it was a mainstay. The 2022 Vintage Reserve Chardonnay is everything I hope[d] it would be. It is nutty, complex, profoundly weighty and powerful, with chamomile flowers (I feel this is the vintage shining through), yellow fruit and exceptional length. This is one of the most magnificent Chardonnays in Australia."

2021 Mount Mary Chardonnay
$210 | Offer: $185
"Hand picked, 20% whole-bunch pressed, the balance crushed and destemmed. Matured in French puncheons and barriques (30% new) for 11 months. A light, bright gold with green tinges. Seductive with its bouquet of melon, fresh fig, yellow peach, chamomile and a little lemongrass. A savoury nuance, too. On the palate, which is powerful, densely packed and structured, you'll find some grapefruit pith and hazelnut. Finishes extremely long, saline and gently grippy."

2024 Cullen Kevin John Chardonnay
$195 | Offer: $174
"I like this very much, the intensity dial turned down a notch, and there is an even flow of fruit-weight and freshness, with a curb of well-placed phenolics... An excellent Kevin John. From biodynamically grown grapes." 97 Pts. - Ned Goodwin MW
2023 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay
$159 | Offer: $149
"This brilliant Chardonnay will surely come to be ranked, not only amongst the best ever from this legendary estate, not only among the best from this thrilling region, but among the best Australia has ever made. This is Grand Cru quality at what has sadly become Village pricing. A profound Chardonnay destined to become a bucketlist wine... Leeuwin have made some mindbogglingly good Chardonnays over the years, but I think none better." 99 Pts. - Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot
According to Bannockburn GM, Gus Pollard, 2025 will go down as the greatest (or at least equal top) vintages for Bannockburn Chardonnay ever.
From the below 1314 to the lofty SRH, these wines show the "no holes barred" richness and complexity that this 50+yo vineyard is famous for.
I tasted the soon to be released Estate Chardonnay last night and I think he is right. This wine is stunningly great and proudly shows ripeness, richness and great depth that a great Meursault would be proud to call its own. Cheers, Randall.

2025 Bannockburn 1314 Chardonnay
$37 | Offer: $29 In Stock Now.
"All estate fruit; 15% new oak, 85% mlf. A very bright green gold. An appealing bouquet of stone fruits, lemon curd, grilled hazelnut and a gentle waft of sea spray. As always with this wine, it's generous and mouth-filling but it's also balanced and long. Drink now and over the next two to three years."
93 Pts. - Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
93 points - "The core of fruit flavour here is just simply delicious. In fact this wine pretty much rates as a ‘wow’ for deliciousness. It tastes of hay and yellow stonefruit, popcorn and pears, with a fully-integrated lacing of cedarwood oak. It’s a wine of excellent fruit intensity and also of out-and-out succulence. Yes please. Love this." - 93 Pts. - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
2021 Bannockburn Chardonnay Museum Stock
Offer: $92 Very Limited
A “museum” release and very low in stock now. This is still fresh and lively but showing a tiny touch of development in a very positive, classy sense.
'[..] True to the Bannockburn style, which offers both power and finesse. The former is set in structure and solid in body. The latter is all about a world of marvellous fruit and oak flavours...It's dense, lifted by a citrusy acidity that is just so cleansing, so right.' 95 Pts - Jeni Port, The Wine Companion
