2022 Bordeaux – “The best since the legendary 1982!” This is what many commentators are writing and I have never seen such high scores and mouth-watering, rave reviews on a huge raft of reds and whites! 2022 with the warm steady weather, the almost perfect crop of healthy and well balanced grapes is a very special vintage for Bordeaux ‘regulars' and a great one for those of you who dip your toes in from time to time. After the sell-out success of our 2022 Cissac en primeur and arrival offer, we've secured a further tranche of this wildly popular vintage. While the value of en primeur buying is clear, this second tranche is still good value with further price increases expected on arrival. As Jancis Robinson notes: “After the ripeness, power and concentration of recent years, 2023 offers a more temperate profile, albeit with contemporary polish to the fruit and tannin.” ie; following the power and presence of 2022 comes a more lifted, juicy and elegant vintage in 2023.
