This is VERY Rhone-like, I’m thinking of a St. Joseph with its black pepper, nuance of tapenade and the deep, rich blueberry essence. Perhaps it is a tad softer than many St. Josephs, but there is no shortage of tannin and fruit, and the quality is off-the-charts!

97+ Pts - Halliday (Marcus Ellis)  - “This is blisteringly good, again.”

97 Pts - Jeni Port -Wine Pilot. “Stunning array of fruit concentration and intensity with real energy..."

97 Pts  - Shanteh Wale. “You won’t forget this experience any time soon.”

96 Pts – Nick Ryan (The Aust.) “…depth without density and classic, deftly illustrated fruit profiles.”

96 Pts.  - Campbell Mattinson. "…the perfect McLaren Vale shiraz…sublime shiraz in anyone's language.”

Plus more 97 and 96 scores!

"This has been the surprise packet of the MMAD wines, with it duelling for position with the grenache and chenin blanc. Some whole bunch, concrete and oak vat for ferment, then raised in older, larger oak, as usual. Saint-Joseph resonances. Evocatively aromatic and spicily so. Smoky, darkly mineral. Blackberry pastille, tapenade, lavender, grilled game meat, crème de violette, iodine and nori, star anise, ground clove, allspice, green and black peppercorns, malted barley, freshly ground coffee, powdery rust. Like the grenache, the nose holds such intrigue, demands attention. That’s matched by the silky flow of the old-vine fruit on the palate and the superfine natural tannin. This is blisteringly good, again. Drink 2026-2036." 97+ Points - Marcus Ellis, James Halliday's Wine Companion
