2021 Craiglee 'Eadie' Shiraz RRP: $49 | Offer: $45
The Craiglee Eadie block Shiraz 2021 is from an amazingly great Craiglee vintage, it has ripe aromatics and flavours of blueberries, ripe cherries, damp earth, white pepper and rusty notes. It’s a modest 13.5% alc and it’s soft and silky but plush, rich and generous. It may not present as a “keeper”, but it will age for a long time; gracefully and steadily, decades will not trouble it. The Eadie block is cooler than the “Home” block even though it’s only 100 mts away across a creek.

OSSA WINES
Founded in 2017 by Rod and Cecile Roberts, OSSA is named after Tasmania’s highest mountain and that sense of altitude, ambition and clarity runs through every wine. The Belbrook vineyard near Swansea is a true cool-climate site with sandstone and ironstone soils, sea breezes, and a strong sustainability ethos (off-grid, solar-powered, carbon-neutral). It’s one of the most exciting new estates in Australia.

These are elegant, characterful wines with great tension and length. The pinot noir has already bested more established names, winning the Australian Pinot Noir Challenge on debut. The chardonnay is fine-boned and flinty and there’s also an impressive "cool" peppery and spicy shiraz that's really classy.
