2024 was provided such a tiny crop that Prune and Antoine (the dynamic duo sister and brother team) decided to release the 2024 with the 2023, so for us both will be arriving in simulataneous in October with our next container.
The new state of the art and environmentally credible Amiot-Servelle cellar is based in Chambolle-Musigny, across the road from the great site of 1er Les Cras and adjacent to Derriere la Grange. It's been designed to optimize and make easier the best winemaking practices (e.g. cool rooms for grapes next to the crusher pad, gravity flow optimization, clean and "easy to clean" floors and surfaces and a relatively spacious work area. Advanced heating / cooling and insulation properties and water collection and saving initiatives that are commendable. Individually TCA (cork taint) - tested corks are used here.
The 2024 vintage - Precision born from tiny crops, good ripeness, great acidity, and great vibrancy.
The 2024 vintage in Burgundy will be remembered as one of the most challenging growing season of recent times and for great quality from the tiny crop. Persistent spring rains, severe mildew pressure and dramatically reduced yields tested even the most experienced growers. Yet, as is often the case in Burgundy, difficult vintages reward the most meticulous vignerons. The finest wines are not defined by just power, but by precision, freshness and transparency of terroir.
Few estates were better positioned to meet these challenges than Domaine Amiot-Servelle. Long committed to organic farming and rigorous vineyard work, Prune Amiot and her team were able to preserve both fruit quality and vineyard expression despite the season's difficulties. Please note that because production is significantly lower than in 2023, allocations are particularly scarce.
The resulting wines capture the essence of Chambolle-Musigny: vibrant red fruit, floral aromatics, silky textures and remarkable purity. Rather than the richness of recent warm vintages, the 2024s offer a more classical profile, defined by energy, balance and elegance. For Burgundy lovers, they evoke the charm and finesse of traditional Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
I tasted many 24's in March this year, and armed with the information that some commentators believed the vintage to be variable, I was pleasantly surprised to find a raft of amazingly beautiful shimmering, forceful even, whites and seductively perfumed and beautifully fruited reds. I wore a huge smile for weeks! It's pleasing to see that the press reporting has now changed the timbre, and high praise is given.
Cheers, Randall.
NB: Both 2023 and 2024 vintages are being released simulataneously due to the miniscule yields of 2024.
2024 Chambolle-Musigny
Offer: $167
This is undeniably a 1er Cru look-alike. It’s with this wine that the quality and style of the commune shows as exemplary. The lightness of touch, the minerality, the seductive perfume of exotic spice and red fruits; it’s all here in the classic Chambolle. From 8 small plots, this is 25% whole bunch fermented and aged in 25% new barrels, it’s intense and light on its feet with blue fruits and violets, but showing beautiful mineral / firm cut.
"...a pretty bouquet with crushed strawberry and wild cherries, a little sous-bois, perhaps a little more lift... medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins but there is a tangible sense of energy. There is a patina of new oak to be assimilated on the finish but there is sufficient fruit to soak that up." 89-90 Pts - Neal Martin, Vinous
2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Plantes
Offer: $249
This 2.5ha 1er Cru sits below the village and the main part is surrounded on two sides by Les Charmes, whilst a smaller separate section is next to Feusellotes (a rockier plot). This Amiot Plantes, with its impressive concentration and grace, will live and improve for a long time, but it is a little more approachable than the Charmes.

"Mid ruby, with some depth of fruit, riper, still with some floral attributes. Dark red fruit on the palate, a few tannins which will require some time to soften, and fair persistence. Just a hint of vegetal. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Nov 2025."

2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Charmes
Offer: $275
The Amiots have 3 plots totalling 1.3ha, adjacent to Les Amoureuses and below Feusselottes, one Grand Cru contender and another great 1er Cru. The poor limestone rock-inflected soil is only .5 metres thick so the wine is not only dense, fruity and intricately perfumed, but it'sdeeply minerally too. 18 months ageing with 30% new barrels adds to the lustre and greatness. bunches were used.
"... a very complex, beautifully defined bouquet with perfumed red fruit, crushed stone, rose petals and light loamy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, vibrant red cherries and cranberry fruit, lightly spiced with a very harmonious finish that lingers in the mouth. Just a hint of tea leaves and bay leaf on the aftertaste. Superb." 93-95 Pts - Neal Martin, Vinous
2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses
Offer: $1190
This is the de-facto Grand Cru of Chambolle, like St Jacques of Gevrey and Cros Parentoux of Vosne. Situated just below Musigny, the exposition and elevation give the ripeness, and the shallow soil and rocky base give the intense and famous minerality. The shallow soil however gives the vines a shorter life span than other distinguished sites, and Amiot pulled out 1/3 of the vines and replanted after a fallow period in 2019. This 1/3 does not find its way into this wine yet so the 2024 is an assemblage of the ’91 and ’10 plantings: 45ha and 45yo vines, 65% whole bunch.
"Mid to light purple. A beautifully seductive nose, floral in excelsis, with a lighter version following through on the palate. All red fruit, a little bit of pepper, tannins still to fold in, but this should make a very lovely and typical Amoureuses with time."
