Domaine Philippe Colin | 2024 Pre-Arrival Offer

Chassagne and Santenay Reds and Whites: Top Holdings!

Colin is a big family name in Chassagne with many Domaine's having this name on the label. Philippe Colin is the brother of Bruno Colin, father of Simon Colin, and a 2nd cousin of P-Y Colin (Morey). He started on his own in 2004 and grew the Domaine to 11 ha before divesting most to his son. He kept some incredible sites (several Clos' and iconic, highly regarded little plots) that make up just 5.5ha. The vines have an average age of 50y and he now just replaces single vines that die or become diseased.
Philippe is using more and more 500lt barrels and the 1er and the grand cru whites are barrel fermented and aged in 30-50% new oak . Reds are destemmed and and are red and dark-fruited bombs that are bright, clean and pure with good depth and firmish balanced tannins. I was surprised how bright, fruity and deliciously intense the 24's were!

We have some museum wines here in our warehouse; note the outstanding value, especially the reds! Please note 2024 (across the Burgundy board) is extremely limited.

Dispatching in late October 2026 - payment due with orders.

2024 Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Offer: $49 | Straight or Mixed 6: $45

I was struck by the lovely almost explosive berry fruit of this young red! It's from Chassagne and Santenay, there is no new oak, but it is 100% oak aged and given some gentle lees stirring. There is a ripe cherry and crushed strawberry core, and the tannins are not shy for a Bourgogne, making it firm and very well structured.

'One plot below Santenay, picked at the end. The underlying fruit is sound, if not noble, and a bit of oak shows through.' 88 Pts - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
