Producer in Focus: Louis Jadot, plus Unmissable Brovia Bundle

Some may dismiss the wines of Louis Jadot as too familiar or not fashionable enough, but recent turnups of the 2021's at our table have been a timely reminder of the mostly domaine / Mason's deep skill, experience, and resources built over more than 150 years. The name may not set pulses racing, but neither do the prices — and in Burgundy, that’s worth noting. These are wines that overdeliver.

Louis Jadot Meursaults from 2021 have been favourites of mine for intellectual and visceral pleasure over the last year. Why? Because they punch way above their weight in quality in terms of estate reputation, and are better than the vintage would indicate (and heftier), and are really full-bodied and super classy wines that are the epitome of old-school but minerally and precise Meursaults.
