Ok, you won't hear me saying this very often, but this 99pt. score is too high! BUT, this is a very deep, rich and ripe, generous red. It's made from 100% primitivo (the same or similar to zinfandel, depending on who you read) grown in the Apulia region, the "heel" of Italy. The partially sun-dried grapes are hand-picked, and the wine is aged in oak for only 6 months to retain "freshness" and vibrancy. You be the judge! Cheers, Randall.

''A harmonious, maximum qualitative expression. A treasure of consistency and clarity to the senses, reveals itself with absolutely universal enjoyability Its majestic extract, its stainless fruit and aroma is so clear and soft. A wine of native viticultural qualities. With its spicy blackberry, roundness and clarity, absolutely pure. Chapeau." 99 Points, Luca Maroni, Annual Italian Wine Guide 2022

A wine grown around the rugged hilly contours of SW Valencia, Central, eastern Spain. It's made from the "cabernet of Spain" tempranillo, with monastrell (mataro or mourvedre) with a dribble of shiraz. This is a sizable, ripe generous, full-throttle red with a hint of new oak and loads of plummy, blackberry fruit and plush, plump palate. Randall

2019 Chateau Croix Mouton Rouge Bordeaux
    Offer: $29 | 6-Pack Price: $27

Mixed 6-pack discount applied at checkout
This plot near Fronsac is the site of an old Roman vineyard and the current vineyard of 70ha, is planted to 96% merlot and the balance franc and malbec; all with an impressive average age of 38 years. These grapes are low-cropped at 3 tonnes / acre (this seems to be a unintended common thread with these wines we have chosen to offer!) fermented in cement vats and then aged in a combination of large vats 70% and small barrels 30%. It's a generous and ripe wine, plummy merlot with a little cassis and liquorice. The plump palate is kept in check with nice tannins and the wine has impressive length for this price. Randall

One of the top 5 best-value wines of the world! This 2019 does not disappoint with generosity and class. It punches way above its weight! Randall.

"Dark ruby. Spice-accented cherry and black raspberry aromas are complemented by suggestions of pungent flowers and cola. Fleshy and energetic in the mouth, offering nicely concentrated red and blue fruit flavors that tighten up steadily with air." 91 Points! - Josh Raynolds

2021 Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec
    Offer: $29 | 6-Pack Price: $27

Mixed 6-pack discount applied at checkout
"Such a beautiful, fresh nose with tons of wild herbs, thyme, rosemary, sour cherries and flowers. Very linear and bright on the palate, charged with silky, fine-grained tannins and fine austerity. You can literally smell the herbs and the wild flowers from the vineyard. Pristine but intense and so fresh and precise. Pure fruit! Insane value." 94 Points! - James Suckling

2020 Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
    Offer: $29 | 6-Pack Price: $27

"Pure aromas of blackberries, plums and crushed stones follow through to a medium to full body with medium, chewy tannins and plenty of fruit, but a tight, reserved finish. Give this a year to two to soften and open, but already pretty. Polished texture at the end. Joyful. Drink now or hold." 94 Points! - James Suckling

    Emilio Lustau

From the three points of the "Sherry Triangle" come these three magnificent, dry tangy, intense and mouth-watering dry sherries; all bottled straight from the cask with minimal or no filtering, i.e. En Rama!
The fino from Sanlucar (Manzanilla) is usually the freshest, palest and is from the most active flor coverage. The more inland and dryer climate of Jerez gives more intensity and a little more development. The town of Puerto de Santa Maria style sits somewhere in the middle.

    "They're stunning" - Jancis Robinson

"Pale straw. Less aromatic than the Jerez Fino. Light and extremely salty. Great for getting the appetite going and quite delicate. One for sherry aficionados but possibly a bit too light for newcomers to the style. Though there's a certain electric buzz to the finish … 16.5/20 Drink 2023–24." - Jancis Robinson

"...notes of almonds, yeasts and a saline, iodine touch. The palate is balanced and dry, sharp after five years under flor." 91 Points - Luis Gutiérrez, The Wine Advocate

NV Lustau ‘En Rama’ Fino de Jerez
    Offer: $45 | 6-Pack Price: $42

"Very pale, paler than Tio Pepe En Rama. Tangy and substantial. Really long and subtle. 17/20 Drink 2023–25." Janis Robinson

"It's a textbook example of the biological wines aged in Jerez, with aromas of esparto grass, chalk, olives and brine. Super dry with pungent flavors reminiscent of the aromas found on the nose and powerful and round on the palate, it has a bitter finish with a chalky sensation and some salty notes." 90 Points! - Luis Gutiérrez, The Wine Advocate

NV Lustau ‘En Rama’ Manzanilla de Sanlúcar

"Light, fragrant-but-steely nose – not unlike a dry Riesling! Very long, pure and pungent. Lovely wine! And a fabulous aperitif. 17/20 Drink 2023–24." Jancis Robinson
