    This year we were inundated with demand for the eponymous new project of ex-Leflaive winemaker, Pierre Vincent. His 2023 maiden vintage was widely and hugely praised by wine writers and customers alike. Notably, we imported the wines of this estate before Pierre “bought in", and whilst the Terres de Velle are truly beautiful in their own right, they got a little swamped by the tidal wave of Pierre’s positive press. In this offer we are pleased to present these equally praise-worthy 2022's discounted to clearance prices!

    "I listened to a podcast where Jasper Morris gave great praise to Terres de Velle - sounding like a gilt-edged guarantee to me – so, I visited the now trendy (to those in the know) hamlet of Auxey Duresses, adjoining the village of Meursault. At my visit, I was advised that the old estate (with a treasure trove of 40+ yo vines) has been purchased by a team including the wine guru Pierre Vincent (who resurrected Domaine Leflaive and turned it into greatness again). Pierre along with the current vigneron Fabrice Laurenz (who worked at Bichot and Alex Gambal) made the 2022’s.

    So, the same domaine – different names;
    2022 Terres de Velle, Now Pierre Vincent from 2023

    The 7 hectare estate is based in an old mill on the Velle Rivulet and there is a good winemaking set-up and nice big cellar. They are wines with strength, character, vibrancy, and quite importantly these days, beautiful textural firmness (even the whites). I recommend these and don't be shy of the Auxey and Monthelie wines, they are beautiful "insider" burgundies!"
    Here are the 2022s at clearance prices! Cheers, Randall

    Pierre Vincent on his motivation for taking over Terres de Velle:
    "The plant material is exceptional. The average age of the vines is 58 years—the oldest vines are 95 years old—and the majority of vines are pruned in Cordon de Royat. Even [vineyard consultant] Marco Simonit is surprised by the quality of the vines. This domaine is frankly a completely unknown rarity."
