2023 Domaine Francois de Givry Auxey-Duresses Blanc 'Les Riames' Monopole
Offer: $229 | Extremely Limited!

Francois de Givry's Auxey Duresses Les Riames is a single-site wine from the smallest white monopole in the Cote d’Or. It’s only 0.47 hectares and the soil is marl and limestone, situated at 380mas above the hamlet of Melin up the valley past Petit Auxey. The vines are certified organic, tended by Domaine Leflaive, and the wine is vinified by them also. It gets a modest amount of new oak and is made the same way (in this vintage by Pierre Vincent) as the other Leflaive wines. The site was abandoned after the 1930s phylloxera crisis before being replanted around 2010 a year after Francois purchased it.

It has a classy and sophisticated aroma, gently reductive, with pineapple, lime and peach and a plush, soft middle. The palate presents itself with a very nice balance, impressive power and a refined acidity; the pillowy plushness and the nice backbone are in harmony. This is a lovely, fully ripe and vibrantly fresh with of great and fascinating pedigree. Cheers, Randall.

The values and vision he championed remain embedded throughout the estate and the longstanding winemaking team, Not only did he have great vision, but backed this up with tenacity and a determination to make some of the worlds best grenache and other Rhone varieties. Cheers, Randall.

2024 Yangarra Ovitelli Blanc
Special offer price: $59.90

"This hits different to prior releases, recognisable but just a little dialled up. A little whiff of measured reduction gives an appealing slatey, matchstick note floating like smoke over the golden apple, citron, pineapple quince and Meyer lemon fruit." - 96+ Pts, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion

2024 Yangarra Roux Beaute Roussanne
Special offer price: $59.90

“The 2024 Roux Beaute Roussanne hails from a fantastic year in McLaren Vale. Warm and dry, with a healthy lead-in, thanks to the cool 2023 season that preceded it... This is already so concentrated and intense but with tightly wound phenolics. This will be a superstar..." - 96 Pts, Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Advocate

2024 Yangarra Hickinbotham Grenache
Special offer price: $79

"...Deep red and black cherry, dark rose, some faint blue fruit/floral cues, Baharat, a very fine anise note, along with amaro herbs and warm earth, all so finely wrought. Tannins are so elegant yet insistent, and the accord with acidity make this dangerously drinkable now; though, given the wine holds up for several days, the future is assured." - 96+ Points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion

2024 Yangarra Ovitelli Grenache
Special offer price: $79

"...Together, the wine looks both supple and tightly coiled, and it bears all the hallmarks of aging impressively well over the week it has been open, and decades into the future too. This is a super wine." - 97 Points, Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Advocate

2023 Yangarra Ironheart Shiraz
Special offer price: $99

'The flagship shiraz, off sand and ironstone; 20% whole bunches; six months in French oak, 35% new, then 10 months in a one-year-old foudre. That new oak leaves its stamp, as does some reduction, both concealing fruit at this early stage. Although of modest alcohol, this has a slightly lavish feel, the char, spice and vanillin from quality oak giving it a gloss. It’s all deftly handled though, matched by the thrumming power of the fruit, with notes of blackberry pastille, soft licorice, freshly ground fruity coffee and rusted iron. It’s testament to the farming here that so much flavour is achieved at this ripeness and weight, and this promises to age well; just give it a year or two.' - 96PtsMarcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion

2024 Yangarra High Sands Grenache
Special offer price: $295

"...Wow. This is an important evolution in the history of this great wine, and while not all are developments that a (any) winemaker may choose, this one is both obvious and genius. This is an unbelievable wine. This is inherently McLaren Vale, which is emerging as a unique proposition in the global realm of fine Grenache." - 99Pts, Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Advocate
