'A blend of 70/16/11/3% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/malbec/petit verdot, the cabernet coming from the original '69-planted vineyard. Matured in barrique (35% new). A pure and focused bouquet of pure cassis, gravel and subtle cedar. Equally impressive on the concentrated yet elegant palate. The fine-grained, persistent tannins are in perfect harmony with the fruit. Seamless. A great Dry Red No. 1 in very fine form; a wine that will age effortlessly over the next decade, if not two.'

'A blend of 99/1% shiraz/viognier. Fermented with whole berries and matured in barriques (30% new). A medium-deep crimson purple. Concentrated with dark fruits, cedar and melted licorice. There's an earthiness, too. The palate is medium to full bodied, powerful and plush yet beautifully balanced. The tannins are subsumed by the fruit. version of this bona fide Yarra classic. Aromas of boysenberry, blackcurrant, black pepper and lifted spice. On the palate this is compact and tightly coiled, just waiting to release its energy. 2024 Yarra Yering Agincourt Cabernet Malbec

'A blend of 75/25% '95-planted cabernet sauvignon/'90-planted malbec. Matured in French barriques (15% new). A very bright crimson purple announces a perfumed and brightly fruited wine with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry leaf, hedgerow and subtle cedar scents. Medium bodied, this is a good deal denser and more structured than the '23. Having said that, it's very nicely balanced and can be enjoyed now. A lovely example to drink over the next six to eight years.'
