100 % Riesling from 2 plots totalling 2 ha of 70+ year-old vines on the granite and mica soil over marl-limestone terroir of the sunny ‘land of fire’ that is the Grand Cru Brand in Turckheim (Brand is ‘fire’ in German). Fermented dry in stainless steel tanks and bottled in spring, followed by a minimum of one year’s maturation before release.
12.97% Alc/Vol; 10.6 g/L RS; 8.04 g/L TA; 3.14 pH.

‘The lime-zest and Kafir-lime aromas burst from the glass of this simultaneously very sleek and very concentrated Grand Cru Brand. You need to like acidity to fully appreciate this highly-structured, medium- to full-bodied dry riesling, but the crystalline purity at the super-long finish is a wonder to behold! From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.’ 97 points, Stuart Pigott, JS Wine Ratings, December 2024.

‘From two one-hectare plots, one on pure granite and the other on granite with limestone, Trimbach's 2021 Riesling Grand Cru Brand opens with a clear and elegant, very seductive but coolish and refined bouquet of ripe fruits with finely flinty, weathered granite notes. Round and lush on the remarkably fine and elegant palate, with rather smooth acidity but also intense and persistent minerality and fine tannin structure for 2021, this is a quite open and charming 2021 that was bottled with 13.5% stated alcohol and 10 grams per liter of residual sugar. This is not really an off-dry Riesling but a generous, lush, very elegant and well-balanced Brand that already tastes beautifully but can be kept for at least 25 years. Bottled under natural cork in April 2022. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024 and again on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Clos Ste Hune at the beginning of November, with an even better result: The Brand is very clear and spicy on the deep and ripe, mineral and herbal nose that indicates elegant fruit. Round on the palate, with some sweetness yet lots of salt and fine, crystalline acidity, this is a generous yet elegant and well-balanced Riesling with persistent salinity, fine tannin structure and a long and aromatic finish.’
