This 1er cru near to 1er cru Epenots makes a more perfumed and supple style of Pommard, far from the sturdy rustic wines that can be made elsewhere. If tasted blind it may be taken for a fragrant Volnay 1er cru, such is the violet and blue fruit aromas and silky tannin backbone. 2017 is a richer and fruitier version and this will be a pleasurable and relatively plush rendition that will drink well early, but there will be no problem ageing this for a decade or more.
