2020 Amiot Servelle Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 'Les Charmes' 750Ml Bottle

Christian Amiot describes the family's Les Charmes as being more southern Chambolle in style – more fruit. It has nice minerality and is with more structure than the adjoining “Les Feusselottes”. The domaine has a nice slice, a 1.3 hectare parcel with some 60yo+ vines in the heart of Les Charmes, which itself is in the heart of the commune. This has 40% whole bunch, and 18 months ageing in barrels, 30% new. The soil is shallow, just ½ a metre, and the plots are in the centre of the combe, helping to give a wine of structure and power with good acid-retaining cool air flows at night. "This is a key wine of our domaine and it has strong but never coarse tannins; it’s dense and generous with a mineral aftertaste", says Prune.

"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru... has one of the finest aromatics from the Domaine with quite precise and pure brambly red fruit, crushed stone and rose petal scents.
