Fred Prinz's small organic estate is Rhiengau royalty. This is a famous vineyard is on a gently sloping plateau near the Rhine but set back a little, so the nights are cooler, giving a more vibrant acid backbone to carry the richness and concentration of the riesling. Ripe grapes, skin contact, some barrel maturation and lees againg are the order of the day.
