This 2.5ha 1er Cru sits below the village and the main part is surrounded on two sides by Les Charmes, whilst a smaller separate section is next to Feusellotes (a rockier plot). This Amiot Plantes, with its impressive concentration and grace, will live and improve for a long time, but it is a little more approachable than the Charmes.
"The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Plantes 1er Cru is matured with 35% whole bunches, slightly less than other cuvées. It offers incense and potpourri on the nose ... The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, cohesive with a sweet core of dark fruit laced with cracked black pepper. There is fine length and more brightness on the finish. I'd afford this 3 to 5 years in bottle."
