Each year the blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon is assessed based on the fruit we see in the winery. The 2020 vintage is a blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the early morning to retain all the natural acidity. A portion of the Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in seasoned French oak barriques while a portion of the Shiraz was seasoned in French and American hogsheads and barriques each for around 12-13 months. Minimal winemaking intervention with the use of a uniquely designed gravity 'lift' tank.
