2023 Coffele ‘Castel Cerino’ Soave Classico 750ml Bottle

Coffele is one of Soave’s long-established family estates, rooted in the historic heart of the town’s original Classico zone near the castle. Founded in the late 1920s and now led by Alberto and Chiara Coffele, the winery continues a multigenerational commitment to its vineyards, farming biodynamically for the past decade with a light-touch, low-intervention philosophy.

Soave’s reputation as Veneto’s defining white wine rests on two pillars: the Garganega grape and its distinctive geology. Here, dark volcanic rock meets pale limestone, an uncommon combination in northern Italy,  giving the wines a tension between brightness and structure. Garganega’s natural freshness and almond-citrus character take on added mineral nuance from these soils.

The estate’s Soave Classico, sourced from younger vines grown at elevation, is intended as a clear, unembellished expression of the region. Fermented with ambient yeasts and matured in stainless steel to preserve aromatic lift and precision, it delivers a clean, vibrant style built for immediacy and the table.
