2022 Chateau Thivin Cote De Brouilly Les Griottes 750Ml Bottle

This plot is a good 5ha mid-slope black volcanic rock site that has a reputation for wines with cherry, black fruits, raspberry, pepper and rose floral notes. Much of the fruit from here goes into Sept Vignes, but this single cuvée is a beauty, a little more perfumed and medium-bodied than La Chapelle but the all-spice, bay leaf and floral notes are complex and enticing. The colour is quite deep, and the tannins are silky, fine and carry the ripe fruit beautifully.
