As the name suggests this is from the commune of Chambolle and rocky / gravelly soil rather than clay / limestone based soil, so it has the "Chambolle" lighter colour (although all Guillon reds are deeper than most) higher "mineral" content and fragrant perfume, red fruits and floral / spice notes. 'Ripe and distinctively earthy dark berry aromas are complemented by the vibrant and delicious middleweight flavours that possess a relatively refined texture on the dusty, refreshing and sneaky long finale. 88 Points' -Allen Meadows-
