Incredibly vibrant and expressive with so much energy, this is a rocky and racy expression of the gamay grape. The effusive violet aroma is underlined by a touch of cooked red-beet character. It has a long, quite dry finish in which the fine, compact tannins and stony minerality are tightly interlocked. "A steep south facing vineyard, at the top of the slope. The deepest ruby of the range tasted. A slightly gravelly nose reminds me of wines made in amphora, though this is (mostly) in foudres.
