2020 Chateau de Beauregard Saint Veran

This is steely and taut though there’s a chalky pucker at play too. Lemon blossom, lemon oil, green apple, faint saline characters, a touch of green almond and a puff of sandalwood incense. Super refreshing to taste with a tense, chewy finish that ends up mouth-watering and very fresh. It’s a strict chardonnay, but delivers with tension and precision. The 2020 Saint-Véran has a pleasant bouquet with lime and yellow plum scents. The palate is well balanced, slightly oily in texture and is lightly spiced with ample extract on the finish. Fine. 88 Points - Neal Martin, Vinous
