PRE-ARRIVAL 2022 Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Vergers'

From a 0.71ha parcel of old vines planted in 1972. This is one of the best Vergers from FG that I have tasted as a young wine. It's very deep and dense, classy and long. This great 1er Cru is just 400mt SW of Montrachet itself.  
"A plethora of citrus elements are present on the noser of green apple, pear and a floral top note. The succulent yet exceptionally punchy, even crunchy, medium-bodied flavors possess fine mid-palate density while delivering excellent persistence on the compact and tightly coiled finale.
