This wine has been barrel-fermented then aged on lees for 11 years followed by a "marrying" time of 2 years with cork age., and it's still as fresh as a daisy!
This magical blend comes from (40%) Le Mesnil Champ d'Alouette site and (60%) Ambonay Grand Ruelles, both of course, great and classic Grand Crus.
This, as with the Champ d'Alouette is fermented in used barrels and aged for an eternity (11 years) in bottle.
It's a dialed up intense wine with great vinosity, pinot meatyness and "sappyness" together with chardonnay lemon compote and saline / rocky mineral nuances. With a well judged 2g/L of sugar, it's a striking beautifully (partially) aged and vinous wine.
