'A slightly more deeply pitched nose of poached plum and dark pinot fruit is trimmed in plenty of earth. There is better volume to the equally delicious and slightly denser flavors that conclude in a mildly rustic finale that displays a bit more persistence. This too should drink well young but I would suggest holding it for a year first.'

'The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge, matured in old barrels, is tightly knit on the nose with touches of red plum and blue fruit. The palate is well balanced with a pretty opening. This is a straightforward regional red with a gentle grip on the finish. Fine.'
