Two distinct plots, totalling just over half a hectare, provide the fruit here: one parcel, stony and steep near Blagny, planted in 1993; the other, lower and richer in soil, dating from 1965. Together they balance structure with breadth. The wine shows a generous weight of fruit, and a palate stretching long with white orchard fragrance, both fruit and blossom with acidity seamlessly absorbed. Concentrated, persistent, and impressively complete from the outset. Shows real old vine intensity and depth even at this early stage.
