This wine has more elegance, more minerality and more notes of white florals than the Batard, but also not quite as much "fat" or weight. There is great vibrancy with richness in this 2022. "Extra weight and presence as expected from the grand cru. A hint of smokiness on the nose. A lovely Criots which has persistence, lashings of freshening acidity and the oak for longer ageing. Manages to be elegant as well as a wine with concentrated reserves of power. Very fine and long on the finish." 18/20 JR.
