The Bachelet-Ramonet domaine was created in 1977, when the daughter of Claude Ramonet (of the famous Domaine Ramonet) combined her inheritance with the holdings of her husband Georges Bachelet. Claude's son kept the remainder of the vineyards and has continued making wines under the original Ramonet label.

Over four generations of family vignerons have cared for the estate's 13 hectares of vines, much of which was once part of the legendary Domaine Ramonet! The current custodian of the estate is Alain Bonnefoy, who married into the family and has continued the Ramonet tradition of making elegant, precise whites. The wines see 12-24 months elevage in barrel, with around 20-25% new oak being used.

These wines are hidden gems, under the radar and not good at promoting themselves, make some very great value wines, and they should not be missed - it won't be long before word gets out!
Cheers, Randall
