2020 Jerome Chezeaux Nuits-St-Georges 750Ml Bottle

This blend is from 5 great plots; Aux St. Jacques, Aux Hurbues and Aux Allots, all just below the great Vosne-sector Nuits 1er Crus of Aux Vignronde and Aux Chagnots; and Les Chailiots just below the “classic” Nuits 1er Cru like Les Perrieres. Perhaps the Vosne sector fruit explains the intense and very pretty nose of raspberry, strawberry and sweet seductive spices! This is a fruit bomb, more “Vosne” than “Nuits”; aromatic and fresh, strong, deep and rich with not so much in “thickness” but impressive firm but ripe-tannin structure. The rust, iodine, and black berry/Asian spice fruit of Nuits kick in and carry through an impressive long finish for a villages wine. This is a lovely ripe vintage and the grapes were exceptionally healthy giving reds of concentration, fullness, longevity and impressive balance.
Once again, at about ½ the price of many villages wines!
